The 'Tax Reduction' BATTLE for Utah County isn't over yet

COME OUT AND SUPPORT THE

United By A Common Goal: A Balanced AFFORDABLE Budget for the taxpayers!!

We attended the Public Hearing on August 15th and presented our petition to the Commissioners.  The deficit, according to the presentation, is now $12 Million instead of the previous $10 Million.

Would YOU call that AFFORDABLE??

Remember that one point next NOVEMBER on Election DAY and VOTE Amelia & Brandon are seeking re-election !!!!!

Let's LIMIT their Term in Office!!

Proposed BUDGET RESOLUTION was totally IGNORED !!

RESOLUTION PETITION RE: 47.9% UTAH COUNTY TAX INCREASE

Whereas, Utah County elected officials received 9% pay raises in March 2023 and again in January 2024; and

Whereas, Utah County's budget is alleging a $10-12 Million deficit; and

Whereas, Utah County elected officials received 9% pay raises in March 2023 and again in January 2024; and

Whereas, raises are usually reserved for superior performance instead of an 'annual' pay raise annually since 2021, and

Whereas, NOT dealing with an impending multi-million dollar deficit cannot be called 'superior performance,' and

Whereas, the Utah County Commission is required to deal with the County Budget, by state statute;

WE THE UNDERSIGNED citizens and voters of Utah County ask the Utah County Commissioners to pass a budget resolution to SUSPEND the pay raises of 2023 & 2024 for all elected officials until the $10 Million deficit is cleared, without any tax increase, and Utah County once again has a balanced budget  -  at which time the suspension of pay raises would end.

[The above was handed to the County Commissioners along with over 200 signers of the petition during a public hearing,  ...          with no action, apparently]

It would have been a good idea to cut the budget by $509,581 a year ... just in this one category!  BUT they decided they were too greedy to take a little pain and passed on the pain to the rest of the Taxpayers (aka: VOTERS)

Remember this come Nov. 2025 and give them a taste of what real pain is ... LOSING!!!

THEY DID IT TO US !!! 48% Tax increase for 2025

BUT, to add insult to injury, on the next meeting they discussed raises to several 'administrative positions' and ignored the issue of pay raises as one of the areas to CUT !!

We won't see the property tax increase until the 2025 Tax Notices arrived in Nov. of 2025.

WHAT WE HAVE TO DO NOW is to remember this  AND  remind ourselves of this ACT (and LACK of action) on the part of any Utah County Commissioners running for re-election in 2025 OR 2026.  THIS IS literally our chance to removed them from power and LIMIT THEIR TERM IN OFFICE which would end their County paycheck come Election Day 2025  AND 2026!

THE CAMPAIGN STARTS NOW !!
